Why Blog?

I can think of several reason why a blog may be helpful.  First, it’s a way that family, church family, and other friends can keep up with what is going on.  Second, it will provide a means to make helpful links available, such as missionary websites or Bible study pages.  Third, it will make me accountable and will be a challenge for me to put something on the table that is worthy of someone elses time.  Fourth, a blog provides a platform of opportunity (no matter how large or small it might be) to proclaim God’s glory among men.

What will be on the Blog?

To be honest, I really don’t know yet.  I want this blog to be “good and profitable” to the members of Fundamental Baptist Church.  Therefore I will do my best to provide things like missionary links and emails that I get from various missionaries.  I would also like to provide things that I am getting out of God’s word in my own personal study that I think might be “good and profitable” to others.  Also in an effort to challenge myself, I would like to include books that I have read and that I am presently reading.

Since it is my blog, it will probably reflect my interests.  My primary interest is my Savior, Jesus Christ.  But I am a distracted man (See I Corinthains 7:33)!  I will probalby spend time talking about my wonderful wife, Denise and the rest of my family.  This will serve my selfish needs and will also serve the desires of my extended family and friends that might be interested in such things.

Another interst I have is politics.  So I’m sure along the way I will include things that relate to things political.

How will I Blog? 

I have no idea?  It will certainly be a learning process!
